Has anyone ever seen Hoplias macrophthalmus in the hobby?

I think Glaser, in Germany, had them in their list.

Hoplias macrophthalmus is no longer in use.
Why some still use this as a name is because it is refer to giant black wolf or a lacerdae

High chance it is aimara...different river will look very different in terms of markings.
blackwolf under belly have the same marking top & bottom

not really.. just very into them...
all you need is to start to save every wolf fish picture you can find and put it in a folder...within it class them by type and river from there it will be easiler to ID them...
