So i have a hoplias malabaracus in my tank. Iv had it for about a good 2 months, hes settled in, and loves shrimp. But iv caught some times resting like a bat in my tank. What i mean by this is that the wolf will be vertical (tail up face facing gravel) and be half way up the tank wall and just blend in next to my heater (which is black) and the air bubble machine. Is this a normal behaviour anybody else has seen? Or the early warning signs of something bad :s?

that's a weird behaviour..... :$

He likes the warmth :)

Do you have a heater guard on the heater? If you don't the damage many be already done. Your wolf fish will get some bad heater burns if it rests beside the heater. My bichir got a nasty burn scar from resting beside a heater.
