How big of an aquarium does an adult Hoplias malabaricus need?

i agree with kevin, but im sure someone will come on here and explain why you need a 180 gallon and thats all bull. 125 would be better because of its length.

Thanks.

maybe for a wolf that will bet bigger than a Malabaricus, but even Harley (the mod on here) kept his beast in a 75 gallon. anything above that is gravy :0 )

The website I found has 4 inch babies for $25. It has eveything for care, but they list so much stuff it can eat. What would be a good food sourse for one?

that is a good price for one in my experiences. I got mine @ 7 inches for $35 and that was a smoking deal. They grow pretty quick up to about 12-14 inches and then slow wayyyyyy down lol. cool fish though. mine used to eat out of my hand. the LOVE earthworms man.

on the foos source just mix it up. shrimp one day, worms the next, then talapia, ect ect. Try to stay away from live because they can get hooked on live and are a major PITA to get back on prepped foods.

I plan on keeping a 4 incher in a 10 gallon untill he grows an inch or two. Is that too small? Once he's bigger he'll be moved to his 125 gallon.

a bigger tank than 10g would be better but if its all you have now I think its ok as long as you can keep the water parameters in check. wolffish can jump so be sure to cover the tank good. a 120g (4x2x2) will be good for life cuz of its width but bigger is always better.
