Is something wrong behind his dorsal fin or is that standard anatomy on you guy?
 
Wow, he's got some great eyesight, or either reacts well when you walk up to the tank cause it looked like he knew it was feeding time. Do you ever worry about that glass heater getting shattered?
 
He's got a bumper on the heater. Looks pretty secure.

Nope, that is how wolves are.

I added the extra suction cup to the end of the heater where the bumper is so it should be pretty stout.

Truth be told he does not "usually" attack his food like that, it's usually more of a slow swim then gulp. I guess he was just extra hungry :D
