Ok this is my third night keeping wolf fish(Hoplias Malabaricus), and i want to start feeding it.
It doesn't like krills that i feed him, and does not bother baby cichlids. How long can it starve until it dies and what should i do to make it eating?

How big is it? When did you get it? I'd say just give it more time if it's been less than a week.

I got it for 2 days, it lost its teeth for hitting the aquarium hood on the first night, last night i reduced water level, it still trying to jump, but didn't get any injury this time.
Right now i think it is hurt and hungry, i wouldn't worry if it was an adult(i would feed twice a week), but now it is only 8 inches and very skinny.

the jumping at night seems to be a common problem with wolves,it is recommended to get a night light for them and that seems to solve the problem.

I never heard from MFK members until i actually experienced it. I have fluorescent light, was told to get night light but I dunno if theres any that i can replace fluorescent light, i hate wires hanging on fish tank.

you can use the blue light bulbs for night nights, I use a stock AG 4" single tube for my night light on my 220.

you can use a True Actinic 03 Blue bulb for a night light.

You guys gotta see this, after keeping it for one night.

from what I have read on here, wolves are tough and he should heal up fine complete with new teeth...

Hey, since pics are here, i am lazy to make another thread, can you please identify my wolf's sex? Male or Female, cuz i wanna give it a name!! Or any recommended names?

Yea, he is a skinny guy. He's probably stressed out. A lot of people recommend turning the heat up a little bit and keeping the lights dimmed down. Just use the night light around the clock i guess.
