wolf fish food

Well i got a 4inch wolf fish, and i happen to have a salt water canal in my back yard where i can just throw a cast net and get fresh live shrimp, but is it ok to feed the shrimp to the wolf fish cause it came from salt water. the shrimp can live in the tank without the salt water.

i wuld worry about parasites and such... but then again wolf fish in the wild probably eats this stuff... i would wash the shrimps before putting them in the tank, and feed them the shrimps on OCASSIONS only

sounds good to me im thinking that salt water parasites cant survive in fresh so your very lucky

No problem. All the shrimp cought in the UK are fished from estuaries.

the only reason i dont feed shrimps is because of those..."horns"...

the horns i break them off cause i know how deadly it can be, but now also wondering if i can feed my oscar them... i can catch them from 1/2 a inch long to 5 inch long shrimps and i caught a few but rarely 7inchers

Sounds like a great food source, maybe a seperate freshwater bath would keep it safe.
