My Wolf fish has been acting lethargic and it's fins have been kind of clamped. Also, the black dots on its fins and stomach have been a lot darker than usual (it changes color all the time but I've never seen the dots like that before). It has been eating well, so I'm not sure what's wrong. I could just be paranoid but it's my favorite fish so I wanted a second opinion. I'll post a picture as soon as I can but for some reason it won't upload.

How new is the tank? An established tank should have nitrates.. Also do you have a test kit to test ammonia, id want make sure there is no ammonia in the tank? In the mean time if your fish is still acting weird, make sure to keep up on water changes.

The tank has been running for 2 months. I misread the directions on my water test kit! I retested and everything was the same as before except the nitrates were 60ppm. No, I do not have an ammonia test kit but the tank is due for its weekly water change. The wolf fish seems to have perked up a bit and it still has a healthy appetite.

Any pics?
The nitrates are a bit high.
Do a water change and leave the lights off for a little bit.

For some reason I can't upload any... and alright will do! Any idea what the black spots could be? Most of the dark spots on him change color with mood, but lately there's been a few speckles that are jet black and never change.
