Wolf fish ID plz (jaw shot)

Please help with ID. Is this a microlepis?

For microlepis need a ll scale count and source of where it was imported from. Jaws will look like mala.

The folds look wide enough to call prematurely Australis. But it I would need out of tank shots and pore counts. As in tank shots can be tricky cause of fish movement. Can't see any of it completely.

Look like U folds. Better pictures of the jaw and sides so we can be certain.

I saw this guy at my lfs. I noticed his jaw was not the typical mala V so I took a pic. I'll go pick him up tomorrow and get some better shots.

Can't see all the pores on either side. I only see 2 on each side. Despite that...australis for now.

Can u get a head shot and body shot?

Get a side shot of it in the tank where we can see the scales clearly to count

I'm definitely going to have to grow him out a bit. I scooped him out to count the scales myself, but they're too small

Lol oh he's small, once 5" should be easy to see. When you do under jaw shots you always wanna make sure the gills are closed, when flared it distorts the folds a little, for future reference.
