wolf fish ID

I might get this wolf fish but I am not sure on the care or what type it is. Can you help me out. Oh and I am new to the site. Any info is helpful.

Looks like a common wolf (Hoplias Malabaricus).
Needs a large tank.
Water Temperature 22-25°C / 72-77ºF
Good eaters, anything meaty. Easy on the goldfish its not safe.
Some have success keeping them with other fish but it can be risky.

YES THATS A COMMON WOLF. I HAVE A 7'' COMMON WOLF IN A 55G. WITH 4 PACU. THEY KEEP THEIR DISTANCE.

That is not my tank he is in. He was brought in at my LFS. They said that he wouldn't touch goldfish other then to kill them. He also ignored shrimp. Any idea's what to get him to eat? I won't by him if he won't eat.

give him some time and he ll be ready 2 eat .
it could be the change of his surrounding i had one that did the same 2 weeks in
my 12'' wolf fish ate my 5'' red devil and the red lobster the next week
