how long could i keep one in a 40 there 3.5 inches on aquabid, i have a 75 but it is not up and running yet, could i have a small one in there for like 3 months
Yes, most wolf fish cannot be kept in a 40, but there is one that was recommended to me a while back by multiple people on this forum and is in both mini-monster threads here on MFK, which is the RAINBOW WOLF FISH. Given it is a carnivore, tankmates are pretty much a no-no; and since they are messy eaters, a better than standard filtration unit will be needed. I'm actually conducting my own research into what determines minimum tank size for a fish and in all reality, you probably won't be getting a full grown wolf fish in the first place, so you'll have some margin room to upgrade if you need to. If you do get one, the only thing I recommend highly is extra water changes to keep the water pristine. Goodluck
