do you think i could keep one of the small wolves in a 40 gallon breeder, red wolf for example ???

PEOPLE WHO CANNOT OR MOST OFTEN WILL NOT KEEP ANIMALS AS THEY SHOULD BE, SHOULD NOT HAVE THEM

That's pretty harsh, bud.

Yes, most wolf fish cannot be kept in a 40, but there is one that was recommended to me a while back by multiple people on this forum and is in both mini-monster threads here on MFK, which is the RAINBOW WOLF FISH. Given it is a carnivore, tankmates are pretty much a no-no; and since they are messy eaters, a better than standard filtration unit will be needed. I'm actually conducting my own research into what determines minimum tank size for a fish and in all reality, you probably won't be getting a full grown wolf fish in the first place, so you'll have some margin room to upgrade if you need to. If you do get one, the only thing I recommend highly is extra water changes to keep the water pristine. Goodluck :D

if 40 breeder (36"x18" footprint) i would say a red wolf/rainbow wolf should be ok

Yeah, he's in the 40 right now but next Thursday he's
getting the
75 all
to himself
