so i stopped in my lfs the other day and they had about an 8 inch wolf fish. for only 39.99. has a bad tail though. i had the guy move it so i could see the tail and it looks like its just nipped up. i think a customer might have brought this fish in. how long in proper condidtions would the tail repair itself? honestly, it didnt look too bad. also is 39.99 a good price? it wasnt a red wold fish, just a regular old brown wolffish. was a light brown with kind of darker brown blotchings. any idea on how big these guys get? thanks for your help.

I have seen smaller wolf fish for around $25-30 so for and 8in specimen I dont think thats an unfair price.....the common wolf fish can get around 2ft just to let you know. They are not the most active fish...they do most of their moving around the tank at night...they are nocturnal. Just trying to help...GOOD LUCK...
