Ok so in my other thread i talked about the wolf fish i rescued from a crappy store. I got him for $14 and hes somewhere around 6-8 inches. This is my 3rd try with the wolf fish and i want this time to go better than the others. The first try my 3 incher jumped out while i was at work. The 2nd try my 6 incher had his throat ripped out by my 6-8 inch jag cichlid. He will go in a 55 to start and then a 125 within the next year and a half. The 2 fish he will share a tank with will be a loiselli cichlid thats about the same size, and a texas cichlid thats about 4 inches. I think this will work with enough hiding spots and regular feedings. Anyone got any input

I had a glass lid on my tank and all mine did was jump out. He was never active and the only time he was active was at night when he was trying to get out. But if you really like them then id say it really depends on the wolf. Sometimes there aggressive and sometimes there not. I kept mine with a tiger Oscar the same size. I ended up trading him and the oscar for an ornate bichir cause i was tired of him jumping.

Well i have a loiselli thats about the same size as him and he will also go with a texas cichlid and maybe a jag. I have 2 hujeta gars but they would probly be a bad idea

I dont think there is any tankmate which can be kept with a wolf fish.
Wolf fish is much better on their own.

I have seen many tanks that keep other species with red wolves. It all depends on the individual wolf. I just hope mine doesnt mind having tank mates.
