I've had him for three months now and all his wounds from the lfs have healed. He has grown only 2 inches but has gotten a lot thicker. Is this the normal growth rate for a Mala?

once they go over 7 inches, they seem to slow down quite a bit as far as length goes. mine did the same, grew a few inches and got thick as a brick. He is about 10 inches right now.
 
ya. once they grow to around 7 to 8 inches, their growth rate decreases dramaticly! they'll definatly still grow to max size though!
