My Mali is so laZy but the problem is I put a feeder in my tank, he stares at it and when I leave the feeder is gone. How do I make him eat while I'm around.

Maybe he's just not comfortable with you?
Mine is lazy as well. He typically waits till later at night to eat. Although I feed him every day so I doubt he has much of a chance to get real hungry
How big is yours? I noticed when mine got around the 7" mark his hunger slowed down.

have you tried making the room dark so he cant see you. some fish are just skiddish around people. eventually he should get used to you
new ones can be like that.
especially at larger sizes,for example,2 inch malas adapt to you almost instantly.
i had 6 inch wolf fish that didnt eat infront of me for a month.
