Wolf Laying eggs

In my comm tank I have a small 4" female wolf she has no pair or mate as I can see but is laying eggs as we speak she is not securing them to a rock although she has cleared an area. My question is why is she laying eggs for, and isn't she to small to be sexaully mature.

U need a male to firtilize the eggs hopefully you'll have a male next time so u can get some babies
