Well since I am using a mover to move to Nova Scotia I will have to sell my Dats and other fish because it will take a minimum of 3 days for them to get there. So I am gonna keep my 150tall to save some money.

I was thinking since they are legal in Nova Scotia of going with some real monsters. I was wondering what would work best in the 150tall 48x24x31...

Snakehead, which one would be best and could I do two?
or
Wolf, samething what kind and one or 2 or an army lol...

also could I do a school of SD's with either of them since they are cheap and replaceable, I would also be starting with a fairly large school.

Thanks for the info.

wolf's cannot be kept with any other fish really, they will either eat or kill it no matter what size it is

I was just thinking if Jars are known killers how would it fair with a wolf? I am starting to lean more towards the wolf then a snakehead...

From Mississauga to Nova Scotia: ~2000 km - No problem to move fish!

I moved my wolf over approx the same distance, three days drive, documented HERE. No reason to sell your priced collection :grinno:

Thanks Harley!!!

I already have 2 40gal tubs to split them up, and I think I will give away my pleco to lighted the bio load a lot more...

if you do get rid of the dats go for a snake head there are some that look pretty good and most are much more active then a common wolf or get a few golden wolf fish if you can find them

i don't think either fish wolf or snakehead would work with a jardini

I was just thinking since both are super agro that there would be a stalemate, but if I can still get my big tank and move my fish ok then I will be keeping them....

I will find out tomorrow lol, time for a family discussion :D

unfortunetly when mixing 2 highly aggressive fish it hardly ever results in a stalemate usually one fish kills the other

^ I def agree the wolf will kill the snakehead or the snakehead will kill the wolf. These species are just not going to work together....at least I've never seen or heard of it. Who knows it may work for a day, week, or month but soon it will be over for one fish. And the Jar unless MUCH bigger than either species wouldn't stand a chance. They do not have the equipment necessary to deal with a wolf or snakehead. The common wolf is not very active during the day, a little more active at night, since it is nocturnal. What species of snakehead are u referring to that you may be interested in...???
