hey guys, been doing research on them for a long time. Always loved them just never pulled the trigger. I finally got one from Wes, arrived on Tuesday. How long can I expect it to go without eating? I will post pics when i can :)

I’d give it a day and the aimara should want to eat. The hunger is too powerful lol.

Awesome. I will keep updates coming his whole life, I threw a piece of tilapia in the first night and kept light out for almost 2 days. Didn’t touch it, when he comes around I’ll get some better pics.

Just a 75 right now to grow a little, he is about 4”. Have a 125 empty and a 200, but I’m gonna be building a plywood with front panel, found it in our DIY section. I think it’s 720g? But if I don’t get that finished by the time he’s ready I have a little pool for temp. And I had a few khuli loaches in the 75 that were to fast for me to get out and I forgot about them, went down with flashlight on phone and saw him with half hanging out of his mouth. So he defiantly ate and has a plump belly now.
