Hello fellow members,i need help or link to a guide on keeping wolf fish, how aggressive are they?what tempature do i need for 1 and how big of a tank do i need to keep 1?
hoplias malabaricus,the common wolffish:
gets to around 2 feet although 20" is already a good size.
can be kept with other fish if raised with other fish from young.
can be kept with each other as well.
but it always depends on the individual cause theres some out there that dont like sharing tanks...
temperature same as any tropical fish.i always had mine in 30 degree celcius.
tank size....minimum IMO is a 4x2x2.
you could go smaller,or you could go bigger.
bigger is always better.
just search hoplias malabaricus on google images.....you get LOTS of pics.
i dont personally know about tigs,so i'll stay out of that.
ive kept them with rays before but not for a long time.
but it did work.
and everything else you mentioned were fine.
Personally I wouldn't keep any other fish that you value with a mala. Mine would not accept any tankmates and he's still under 12" so he's not even at his most aggressive. But I have seen it done before, I just wouldn't try it.

i disagree I'm 15 years old not much difference and it's great. Their hardy fish and easy to handle. Their awesome to have because there badass fish. Just remember to put a cover on your tank... lol
