Hey guys, would Hoplias malabaricus be okay in a 75 gallon? Ove coure with plenty of filteration.

Yea.. I've heard of some reaching 18"+ in aquariums.. so maybe 4 years down the road you would need to upgrade

they grow pretty slow so you could probably keep one in there for quite a long time.

My mala grew from 5'' to 13'' in 18 months. He lives in a 75 gal. It is tight, if he gets any larger I'll have to upgrade.

Mine grew 2 inches in about 3 months,of course i power feed
He should be ok in there for awile,Ive seen some reach up to around 23-24 inches may have to upgrade 4-5 years down the road but that gives you plenty of time.
