I am crushed ...
Today was supposed to be a magnificent day. All day i waited for my BBXB's
1155pm was there arrival time at my local airport.
1100pm im out the door, in my car on my way to the airport.
1145pm at the cargo warehouse chatting with the supervisor
1215am got my box on my way home.
0100am open the box, fish are lively, lovely awwwww sweetest saturday night.
0115am release my 2 bbxb's they get a warm welcome from my discus community
0120am turn around to the main tank to tell the older arowanas they got friends/competition comming up .....wait something is wrong where the hell is my Diablo red..... the lid is open .....this cant be ......... nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooo.....
my 16" SR ( favorite fish ) dead on top of the tank not dry just dead still humid but dead .....the next 10 minutes where spent trying to revive it......in vain.
i hate myself right now .... in my rush to go pick up my new fish i did not close the lid properly ..... I suck .... after fighting the year of the rabbit i will now have to fight the curse of the SR dead before its time.
F*ck me man

Im sorry to hear about your loss man, but honestly as bad as things are, there is nothing you can do now to change it. Things happen for no reason at all, just gotta move on and learn from it.

Sorry to here that buddy I'm sure we've all done it at some point and thought,Damn that was lucky,I know I have.

Aww, Im sorry dude! Thats a ****ty thing to have happen!

I know I have done things like that and gotten lucky too, but sometimes everything conspires against you and **** goes so wrong over something you have done so many times.

Again sorry dude :(

Man that sucks I am sorry for your loss, I dont know how many times I have forgotten to close the lid on one or more of my tanks its usually after feeding damn man I am truely sorry and sad for you.

:(

i just lost a silver for similar reasons. though all the tank was well covered then the power went out for 20mins on my way out to work. herd a weird splash from their tank, but didn't go look to see what happened. got home for lunch and saw only 5 silvers. looked all over starting with my rtcxtsn's stomach and found nothing. then later in the day my brother found it behind the tank next to the main tank. worst feeling is knowing if you/i just did things in the right order or just gone that little extra step your fish would still be alive. SR aros are my favorite aros and i can't keep them...yet.

very sorry for your loss. there is a saying that if your aro dies it took a hit for you so you wouldn't have to deal with it. good luck with your bbxb's and go that extra step every time.
