Hi i have a pair of jewel cichlids that recently had fry and i was wondering how long they would guard there fry? as well as my convict cichlids are starting to do the whole making fry thing again pretty close to where my jewels are was wondering if this would cause a problem the male jewel is the dominate cichlid in the tank and i have a 110g tank. I also have a pleco, feather fin catfish (afraid to go anywhere near the red jewels) 2 blue acara, 2 convicts (breeding pair) 1 yellow lab and a fire mouth. Please let me know if these guys will pose a issue to the breeding pair of red jewels.
Edit: Also if there is anything i can do to increase the odds of the fry surviving in the tank please let me know it is a pretty open tank for the most part Thank you.
