Sounds like an awsome combo and any diet that would be good for one of those fish will be good all of them.

Should'nt be a prob in the right size tank, will they be newly acquired? or are you making additions?

the tank the firemouth and the blue acara will be new
im going to get a 65 to 75 gallon tank.

In a 75 you could also probably put in a small group of giant danios or something too. All three of the fish you plan of getting can be pretty shy and may benefit with some dithers.

sounds like a nice setup, the only thing i'd be conscerned about would be the jds and acaras look kinda similar when young. I know some fish attack similar looking fish as themselves, but it sounds like an interesting mix. Try it out, keep us posted. I own a 65 g. myself with a jd, 2 salvini, and mixed convicts, with no problems.

Hmmmm, I dunno, never personally done that mix. Haven't heard anyone with problems mixing them though either, so I guess it's gonna have to be a trial and error (hopefully without the error)situation. But just make sure you get a large tank, I would even opt for over 75gal. if you can afford it right now. make sure you have enough room, and hiding places for each of them to stake their own claims. And do make sure you size them carefully, so that no one becomes the bit*h, LOL. Anyways, let us know once you get started -k-!:)
