I was wondering, if say a P. natteri gets eaten by a catfish whole, could the jaw and tooth structure cut up the fish from the inside as it moves through the stomach?

I always wondered about these things. like when one toothy predator gets eaten by another. there are a set of sharp ass teeth inside the other fish at some point. like eating a blade. pretty hard to disolve.

its possible but i doubt it lots of thing eat piranha in the wild. id be mroe worried if the piranha get scared and bite it befor it gets eatin. im not sure what ur situation is but i wouldnt use piranha as feeders LOL

well, for more educated takes on this... piranhas are eaten by many things. i already mentioned catfish eat them all the time. so do dolphins and caymans... and of course other large tetras. and im not just talking about piranhas. many toothy fish are eaten by other fish and i used catfish as my main vessel of wonder because they swallow fish whole. and piranhas are more than small enough to be eaten by them and are quite commonly...
