i am feeding them hikari lionhead pellets, nutrifin max flakes , and spirulina flakes they are just not eating much except for my salvini. i have 2 texas cichlids and a flowerhorn also

Floating or sinking? My africans will not eat floating food. My FH drastically prefers floating food, but will eat some sinking food. Try some frozen brine shrimp. I have never seen a fish that wouldn't eat that. I use it maybe once a week.

I normally use a mixture of NLS, Ocean Nutrition, Hikari Gold, and Omega One. My fish love it.

yeah the spirulina flakes are ocean nutrition, and the pellets are sinking. maybe i should just give them a week or 2 and see how they take the diet. i also trow the occasional earthworm in every 3 weeks or so, but i'll go buy some brine shrimp as well.

same here back in the day i tried freeze dried bloodworms wasn't happy with them. i'll make sure to get frozen brine shrimp

If you just purchased them, they may need time to adjust. They will eat when they are hungry enough. Keep offering them food but don't pollute the tank trying to get them to eat. That 55 is not going to be large enough for them in the long run.
