Hey guys,
I was wondering what is the smallest soft shell turtle?
How small it is?
Min tank size for them?
thnx

The Chinese softshell (Pelodiscus sinensis) is probably the smallest available species; they get to about 10" carapace length. The smooth softshell (Apalone mutica) is also fairly small (to about 12" CL). I'd say a tank with a 4' X 2' footprint would be minimum housing for one adult. Bigger is much better.

I believe Apalone spinifera guadalupensis is the smallest supspecies of the Spiny Softshells. Either way, whatever species you look at the male is much smaller than the female in most cases.

Apalone mutica clavata one of the smood softys is the smallest US. As for asians really Pelodiscus sp and rose necks Dogania sp are the smallest:D All however still need at least a 120 liter aquarium when full grown;)

I'd say the Indian Flap-shelled turtle, Lissemys p. andersoni. They get to a max size of 8". Pretty expensive though. Cool turtles!
I think scudata is even smaller  but unfornatly they are all pretty hard to come by

Very comon;) Dont know your local price but i cam get chinis by 20 euro each. I would recomend that you start by reserching deeply and then decide wich one to get. Dont forget spineys can get pretty big. I would also recomend that you get a male specimen to avoid egg laying related problems:D Males also smaller
