finally after two weeks of failure, I got my Jardini to eat thawed krill..

what can I start feeding him to bring out the red coloration?

thawed krill is really addicting, try to get him on freeze dried shrimp like ace said, and just mix it into his feedings. Crickets as treats, superworms as treats also(really makes them bulky) If you can try pellets will save you money and easy to feed.

He loves Crickets, Superworms and Night Crawlers. I do feed my small gar live livebearers and he wont even look at them. He ate a rosie once. Hmm. Anywho, I am trying to get him off live food.

He will eat large partially frozen Mysis and Bloodworms, thawed Krill and Aquadyne Pellets. I am trying to find locally some of those Hikari (?) Arowana sticks.. But it looks like nobody carries them. :( I guess I can wait till I order some more Eheim pds and add them to my order. Being they are costy, I want to try a small bag in case he wont touch them.
