COuld anyone suggest the best threads to look at for building plywood tanks?
I asked ages ago for advice on building a huge tank in my garage, but money means that it just isn't going to happen.
Mainly because I'd have the cost not only of the ubertank, but also because I'd have to insulate and line the garage, replace the door (the current one would let the heat out and lets rain in) and fix and insulate the roof (it leaks).
But, my lemon fins still need an upgrade... so now I'm looking at building a bigger tank in the current tank's site (they're in a 6 x 2 x 2 at the mo in my kitchen, it's a big kitchen so I have room to expand!) and use the current tank as a sump. I'd like to go all-glass but again money is a problem.
On that note, is it do-able to build the plywood tank, have thick glass at the front then line the ply with thin glass or thin acrylic?
