Wood: To use or not

I found this great piece of wood (I think it looks good) but Im not sure if I could use it for my aquarium. I think it would be a great nesting like place. It would also look good if I put in my snakes vivarium. What do you guys think?

Thats what I was thinking! But then again, it doesnt really look natural. Its a foot tall at its the highest branch and around 9" long and 7" wide. Pretty big. The hole I'd say has a diameter of 4-5" and is 4" deep. I was planning on using it for my future electric blue ram tank. Tho still cant decide whether to put it in an aquarium (would look great as a breeding site) or in a vivarium (where it would look more natural).
