Wood with snails

A friend of mine gave me a piece of wood but it's full of snails, snails from his aquarium.. i removed the ones that are visible but it has a lot o cracks where they can hide, how could i kill em all.. including their eggs.. thanks!

Salt will not kill the eggs, but bleach might kill everything. Put the wood in your tub or a large 30 gallon trash can and fill with water, add 2 cups of bleach and let it sit for a couple days. Drain and rinse repeatedly. (A lot.)
