I have really wet wood and want to dry it. How long should I put it in the oven until it is dry? It is about 2 feet long and about 4 inches thick

go ahead and do it, just leave the door cracked.

Warning: it might smell like crap.

I actually recommend this for saturated wood. Once the internal temp of the wood hits 212, the water will turn to steam. They use steam in autoclaves, it will help not only dry the wood, but to sterlize it as well. Just pull it out before it catches fire (you have a pretty safe buffer time there, just don't go out to catch a movie while it's in the oven).

Dick jokes?:confused::confused: What dick jokes?

I guess I'm the only one around who is embarrassed to properly prepare driftwood for aquarium use. ;)

My 6 foot long 1 foot thick wood was cooked in a kiln. Just a suggestion.
