Woodpecker on my porch!!!

My wife walked passed it 3 times.. It didn't even flinch!! These Woodpeckers usually fly away when we come up to the window to look out!!


It was raining all day.. And now it is snowing.. So I hope that is the only thing keeping it from going home ... I would hate for it to be sick and I didn't do anything.. But it's wild so ... I am just gonna see what happens for now...

Just thought it was cool and thought i'd share!!

Sorry I have a short vid,... But I had to go to work... My camera is Broken... My sister barrowed it and dropped it :( We think only the lens is bad.. I have one on the way.. but it is not due for a week!!

I mean sitting on a tree and pecking or doing it on a deer or somethings head. Stupid question but I'd love to see a woodpecker actually peck at wood.

Yes I see them pecking on trees locally.. But not on mine.. I believe they actually look for specific species of trees here.... And the nest in their holes..
