Woodstain Safe for Canopy?

I used a wood stain to waterproof the inside of my canopy. Would there be any issues after it fully cures?

Any varnish acrylic or oil based should provide good moisture protection. As long as the area isn't below the waterline you should be fine for a number of years before needing to recoat.

Thanks! It won't be submerged although there may be evaporation/condensation, was mainly worried if anything would leach into the water.

Only if the stained wood is in contact with the water. You may want to add a coat or two of polyurethane after you stain, which will fully waterproof the wood after you stain.
