Well, it started raining yesterday for the first time in nearly 9 months and hasnt stopped. This triggered my convicts to start courting! My pair is about 2 inches long each and they are going at it under neath a rock as I type this! (will post a picture) They have been cleaning and moving gravel all day and now theyre rubbing all over the rock! They have been relentlessly defending their breeding grounds ever since i got home from work. They are ballsy little buggers. Again, they are 2 inch long fish, and they are together fighting off my 5 inch red devil, 7 inch male JD, 6.5 inch female JD, two 3 inch green terrors, and a 2.5 inch Mayan. They lost once to the red devil but have since succceeded in chasing him away. This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! plus this mean I will have fee feeders, and any survivors can help me build a good relationship with my LFS. Do you think the convicts breeding would trigger my JD pair to spawn? They have yet to spawn in the 5 months they have been together. They are together constantly and tested eachother when I first introduced them but no eggs still. I want the JDs to breed so dang bad!
