woohoo my permit came in today :). At the begining of June I will have the ability to legally get 3 yellow perch. I've been checking the mail for about 4 weeks now every day hoping this would come in. :D:headbang2
 
From IFW?
 
Yup from IFW. They told me the process on how to go about it but I still had a slight nervousness that I might have been denied. You know with government agencies the right hand doesn't always know what the left is doing. I had never really delt with IWF so I wasn't quite sure how well they operated. I was pleasantly surprised :)
 
nice man, make sure you collect your yellow perch young, i got mine that were about a year old and they were quite stuborn to get onto new foods, i eventually got them eating freeze dried shrimp, enjoy them they are lovely fish!! (mine recently died from a power outage but i plan to get 3 more for a 125g native tank) plz send me some pictures when you get them.
 
yah I pretty much plan on getting them in June after the spawn which should start to occur any day between now and mid mayish. My goal is to get them as small as possible since there is no size limit on yellow perch up here.

and sorry to hear about the accent that really stinks.
 
they are an amazing looking fish, their back fin is just amazing when they swim around with it. and they are quite the predator, mine would gobble down inch long minnows even though they were 4". ill send you a picture when i get my tank back up and running.

best fishing bait for perch... worms
 
yah I'll get some pictures up as soon as the process is in action :) Hopefully they will just be little guys :). I've been doing extensive research on these guys and they seem like they are going to be great.
