woot woot finally got Pixie frog

I just didn't pickup one, I went for the knockout and pickup two . Anyways wow, I have read about how much they can eat, seeing is beleiving. They're both around 2" and both took down four large crickets and three Lobster roaches each . I think they still want more but I stopped giving them. Pacman frogs ain't got nothing on these guys stomach wise . Another plus is now my Lobster roach colony is really getting put to good use, before it was just a roach or two to my Tarantulas.

Update:

They both took down three full size Lobster roaches again this morning


Just a few question for the frog owners.


What type of substrates do you use? I'm currently using the eco earth coconut fiber stuff.


What size enclosures do you have yours in? Mines are in their own 2 1/5g clear plastic storage containers you get from Walmart, Targest.


Do you have waterdish inside the enclosure? I have a 6" saucer halfway filled in each.


What do you feed yours? So far I only have chance to feed crickets and Lobster roaches. Will eventually add, nightcrawlers and thawed out food such as fishes, and shrimps(I love the precook shrimps from Cubfood here, specials for $4 for 50 count).


Any infos you have, you're welcome to post here, would love to hear them.

Sounds like you're doing good. Love to see some pics of the "pretty" wee beasties. I imagine it would start to decimate your feeder population pretty quick lol

Yea I might have to start another colony of roaches with the way these two are eating now BTW anyone here raises Hissers? I might have to look into that once they get bigger.
