Well heres my 100 gal so far any advice should I add more rock Thanks Pat

Its eggcrate incase a rock happens to fall also I didnt want to put the rocks on the glass bottom or directly on sand as some fish move the sand around.Pat:)
 
its nice! are the rocks epoxied/siliconed together? i really like the way that looks. are you doing substrate?
 
Egg crate is commonly used by people who put a lot of rock work in their tanks. It helps distribute the weight of the rocks and keeps any sharp edges from being in contact with the bottom.
 
Your going in the right direction with the eggcrate but its going to make it VERY hard to vac clean...you might want to see if there is somthing else that wouldnt trap debris that you could use...or just blow it out with a powerhead before a water change...up to you!

Thanks no I didnt glue them but they are sturdy and leaned against the back a bit. Yes Iam adding playsand a sterile natural beach sand I found at Home Depot Ill post some more when I get a little more done. Hubby stuck that fake plant in there lol

I found a an really good article on the cichlid forum on how to do water jets so you dont have to clean your sand I might go that way.Pat

If the substrate turns out to be sand, it won't be too hard to siphon stuff out cause most of the trash will lay on top of the sand.
