Worlds laziest RD

Ok, so I just wanted to see what everyone else's red devils are like. I have a 4 inch RD that sleeps all day then goes berserk at night. He goes into his make shift cave he made behind a piece of driftwood I put in there and just lays there all day coming out to chase the feeder fish every now and then. At night time he becomes a full on mini glass banger! Attacks the glass with his teeth for hours on end and chases and consumes anything I put in the tank.

Are your RD's similar or do they have different patterns than mine? thanks!
 
Just how he is. I love glass eaters. But a pity he's always hiding. Is there a lot of traffic going on? IE people walking past.
 
Yeah there is, but it doesnt seem to phase him at night...weird, meh its worth it having him hide all day when I can muck around with him at night. So funny, Ive only had him for like 2 weeks and I can almost hand feed him :D
 
I just got a 4" RD a few days ago. He's always out foraging for snails and swimming back and forth. And yes when the house lights go down he starts attacking the glass. I think he can see his reflection more clearly when its dark outside his tank
 
He just hides a bit more because of high traffic and the fish is still imature, small and skidish when they get about 6"-8" it will bang glass all day & night long your just a couple inches away from 24/7 evil behavior from your rd.
 
Mine is a 6" female( which i am selling btw) And she is so gentle and loves human interactions and attention, and constantly begs for food.
 
Have you guys had any success feeding yours with freeze dried shrimp? Mine wont touch it, yet <3s blood worms.
