I added newspaper and fruits and vegetables and holes on side, it's a plastic tub. How long should I wait before I add worms?

Add the worms immediately. What kind of fruit are you using? Stay away from too much citrus and no onions. Double bin is better and keep it covered.

Worm bins are easy, had mine going for quite awhile now. Dispose of kitchen scraps, create great soil amendment and worm tea plus cheap and healthy fish snacks.

I was reading online that onions aren't bad, And citrus isn't horrible. So far I have carrot celery onion lemon and an apple with 2 layers of newspaper. Will it hurt them? And should I keep it moist all the time, or just the top?

The worms put out a liquid that drains into a second bin. You mix it with water and brew it for about 24 hours. Great as a foliar spray either as a fertilizer or a pesticide.
