Recently, I had an out break of what I thought were anchor worms in one of my tanks which I had set up for years with only Firemouth Cichlids. I treated with a medicine from my LFS for Anchor worms and it worked out all is well.

But then another tank I had set up for a smaller period of time had a break out as well. I treated the same way, but for some reason I can not seem to rid this tank of the worms. I did noticed that one of my heater is not keeping the tank in the high 70's to mid 80's. The temp stays at about 72c, would that be a factor in killing them off? Also where could I have gotten these worms from both tanks have been stable for a few years now without out any new additions?

Any advice of ridding my tank of these worms would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

high temps are a good help against the worms, so I understand

Can you get a picture of these worms?
Also, I think that the temperature you meant was 72F, not 72C as you stated. 72C is just over 171 degrees farenhiet which would probably explain any die offs if correct. the fish would be nicely poached, lol.

lol, you're correct I did mean 72F. I can try to get some pics of the works, but they're tiny little guys that stick to the glass. Upon further investigation and research I have fond out they aren't anchor worms as I had been told.

That is what I am thinking.. But, I remember planaria being bigger with eye spots. (We had some in class when I was taking Biology) These worms are small and clear, would they be the same but a sub-species or something?
