well...looking at my brackish tank with 4 it dats, an american dat, 3 silver scats, 1 ruby scat, 7 finger fish and 2 columbian sharks. i noticed that on the side of the tank there are small worms, that move along that glass and im not sure what they are. i feed pellets and flake food, and market shrimp but have never had these worms before they measure only a few millimeters in length and are white if that helps at all.
never had this problem so im kinda worried.
thanks in advance
ken

Sure their not snails? Do you have any live plants or driftwood or anything like that in your tank? I had that once, after I put a piece of driftwood in a tank without preparing it properly first. Not a problem, just remove them as you see them, but be careful they can multiply quickly

all thats in the tank is wood and gravel, i have never had snails before there to small to get a pic of but there long stringy things that move along the side of the tank.

Hm well, I had a similar problem and got rid of it by searching around the tank and removing all the little critters I found.

Thought maybe you were talking to me specifically.....Carry on. :D

thanks, so these little worm guys are harmless, however the result of overfeeding ?
i can see that as being a possibility as scats and finger fish need to be fed often
thanks
ken

Definately planaria...as said, they are harmless, some fish even eat them. You can get rid of them next time ur doing a routine water change wipe the inside glass with a clean cloth on all sides.
