Every time after I do a water change, I restart my filters and Hundreds and Hundreds of these little worms are floating / Wiggling throughout my water.

They are maybe 1/4" long and clearly visible with the naked eye.

I used to feed my fish blackworms but haven't in months. Could they be baby blackworms that got trapped in the filter media still pumping out of the filters?

Or should I be worried it is some kind of parasite?

I am not sure of the name of this worm but that is usually the result of over feeding.

Believe they are called blackworms. my LFS sells them. The worms in my tank look the same just alot smaller. Wondering if they could be baby blackworms?

Planaria...... need to do more gravel vacs and water changes.
Harmless to the fish though.
Burt :)

Looking at pictures, Im not sure they are Planaria. planaria look thicker. Trust me I've been doing 2-3 50% water changes per week and I have no substrate on bottom

Definitely appreciate the responses guys

are they white? i had a nematode break out in a Jag tank . I had to break it done and sterilize everything to get rid of them. If you have a quality lfs take them a sample to determine what they are.
