i was doing a water change yesterday and noticed little white worms in my tank. ive asked a couple people and gotten the same answers from them. just wondering what you guys might say to do? theyve all said a little salt and throw a betta in there. also to clean the gravel. any input would be appreciated

Depends what worms they are?

Im guessing palaria which is a short body white worm... Normally they start showing up if theres a lot of un-eaten food in the tank...

So cut back on feedings and vacum the gravel really well with water changes...

I have planeria in my tanks from time to time, a single guppy in my 10g planted destroyed their population. almost any small community fish will eat them. keeping the tank clean is the biggest factor. they might be hard on the eyes, but they are harmless so dont worry. find yourself an active scavenger, maybe a barb or danio?

A school of zebra danios will eliminate ALL OF THEM:D

I had those. I just got a chinese algea eater and in about a week he had grown twice the size and there were no more.

I think you get them when you have extra uneatten food laying in the tank.
