just got home from work and turned on the lights in the tank in the bedroom, notice VERY SMALL white looking streaks all accross the glass on all sides of the tank. upon further inspection i realized that they were moving and were possibly some type of worm or parasite. can anybody help me figure out what they are?? tried to get a pic but they are way too small for any kind of good quality pic to come out. the water temp was 83 degrees farenheit, i turned it up 3 degress and i will turn it up another 2 or 3 in the morning. thanks for any input!!!!

probally left over food.excess food causes the white worms, the worms eat things left over. and depending on what fish u have they eat the worms!!!

from the vague information ill take the shot at saying it looks like planaria to me. i had the same problem a couple weeks back cause i left my tank in the care of my dad who doesn't understand the concept of not over feeding. i bumped up my tank to 86 and added salt and so far my tank is planaria free.

If it's planarias just step up on water changes and make sure there isn't left over food or your not over feeding. These things come and go and keeping your water clean usually solves it.

guessing its not planaria than, its a 40 gallon tank with a 24 hr. drip hooked up, the water changes all day. and for overfeeding, the fish only get fed what i see them eat.. 1-2 pellets at a time. so i am not really sure what it is at this point, sorry for the horrible description of these worms... any possibility they could be from the sand i used from home depot???
