yesterday i noticed on my tank walls that there are worms crawling around. they are very small, not even the diamiter of a hair. they are white but soo small its hard to see them looking threw the glass they are one. if u look from the side u can easily see them on the glass. i only have 2 fish in my tank, a breeding pair of LF albino bristlenose plecos. i have a few ghost shrimp, and i noticed one has a white worm in its body. i guess its a horse hair worm. should i just get rid of that one shrimp? idk waht the worms are and i really need some help. i noticed that there is long stringy white fish poop in my tank. so i think it might be capillaria. but those arnt supposed to come out of the fish. can anyone tell me waht the worms are. maybe there not even bad since they are on the walls and not on the fish. if they are bad can u offer a treatment.

do a 50% water change and feed your fish less to get red of the worms.

They are called Planaria. They will NOT harm your fish. So dont worry.

The problem with Planaria is that they alert you to dirty water and overfeeding.

One thing you can do is put some meaty food inside some panty hose. Tie it up and hang it inside the tank. Try to hang somewhere by the filter so the fish cant get to it very easily. The planaria will attach themselves to feed. Just yank it out the next day and you'll have removed a good bunch of them.

Then make sure to do water changes every few days for a couple weeks as well as cutting back on feeding indefinitly.

hey thanks a lot you guys..its a releaf they arnt harmful, but i gotta clean it now. lol thanks a lot again. waht about the horse hair in my shrimp, should i get rid of the shrimp./
