I fed my fish a little food before going out two nights ago, a mix of Blood worms and Hikari algae wafers. (its a betta and two bristlenose plecos in the tank).
I came home today to find the glass of my tank TEEMING with little worms. I need to know what kind of effect these are going to have on my tank, good or bad. They are white, very thin and long (approx. 5mm in length).

**Edit: They might be tubifex worms, i am not sure :s

jimmy nailed it

you can syphon them off the glass if you dont like seeing them.. less overfeeding and more gravel/sand cleaning will cut their numbers down.. they are harmless and oddly a sign of good water

Woohoo!! Thank you for your quick replies guys! :)
I have just finished my routine cleaning of the tank, and did a good job cleaning the gravel, Though its still not 'perfect' so i will have another pop at it with my next water change as i ended up doing a 50%+ water change in the process :p

Will use vege's more, and algae wafers less. my pleco's dont seem to eat em quick enough so i end up with a good bit of waste.

Thanks again!
