There a bunch of worms swimming in my tank is that bad or what could they be?

Most likely detritus worms from overfeeding. Relatively harmless. Vacuuming the gravel during water changes will help to get rid of them.
They are more of a black color.

I agree with Joe that they are most likley detritus worms. Follow Joe's advise and see if that doesn't get rid of them. Give the filters a good rinsing too. I don't like useing chemicals for them since they are harmless and can be controlled with water changes and substrate cleanning. If you still have an issue after that we can adress it later.
