i don't know whats going on but my beleheri are acting very strange...they turn colour when people approach the tank. I'm assuming this is due to battling amongst the five , because the smaller ones have scratches...Can anyone help with useful information...

Thanks

Out of the 5 do you know if you have males or females? The males are larger then females of the same age. They do spawn in captivity relatively easy it could be you have a pair and they are getting a bit territorial. What happens is about two days before the spawning they start to touch each other then spawn keep an eye and see if you have a pair.

it's a 55 galon tank quite a few plants and quite a few hiding spots....I think he's right about the pairing off causing alot of fighting...But i don't really want to lose any of them...three of them always hang out with each otherthe other two are always hiding...so out of the three it's hard to tell who has paired off because two are males and very similar looking one is female.

I noticed mine look like they have sand all over them when i first turn the light on, then they get back to normal. Probly try adding alot of more plants to the mix...

LETS SEE SOME PICS :D

well i added like 4 2 inch burmese loaches and two 2 inch plecos one clown pleco and one sail fin, so hopefully they will help remove any extra food that may have caused an unsafe tank...
