Sorry...kinda long.
Guys I am very worried about my FH. He used to be bright and excited. Typical FH behavior....always greeting whoever came to the tank, eating great, doing his little swimming tricks. Then he got sick. I am pretty sure it was Hex. (white/clearish poop and no appetite) He would eat the food then spit it out immediately. I looked for different treatment options and decided on PraziPro from Hikari. It was recommended by my LFS employee. My LFS is family/locally owned store and they seem to know their stuff. I have always trusted them and never had an issue. She really liked the PraziPro and the ease of use...remove carbon...treat the tank....wait 5 days and repeat if necessary.
This was perfect because I was leaving town. (BTW this is an office tank) I treated the tank and left town for 5 days. Left the light off the whole time (normally on timer). Came back and there is no longer Hex pooping....there is NO pooping! He will not eat anything, doesn't greet anyone. He really just stays in this little cave area and comes our rarely.
I did a water change....put new carbon in the tank. Nothing changed. I put in some feeder shrimp...that brought some life out of him and he chased them and ate them. No spitting either. Still no change in attitude. His Kok has lost a good bit of size and now his color is faded (pale). He looks a bit smaller too.
I am at a loss for what to do! What could this be and how do I treat it?!?! PLEASE HELP!!!
