Just lately my fire eel seems to be sleeping in his tube on his side or upside down???
Soon as I nudge the tube he turns back over swims out and up to his feeding corner to nibble my fingers as normal?
Is this normal? He's around 24" and I've had him since he was a little worm lol I've never seen him do this untill recently?

Mine, about the same size, does that all the time. Doesn't seem to have any ill effects.

I found pvc tubes ect encouraged this behavior.. though i would keep an eye out as if they are haveing issues with actually keeping upright ect then I would suspect IP's also depending on what you're feeding it they seem to bloat up very bad on occasion. It is "probablly" nothing to worry about particularly if he is otherwise normal and active as usual. if you see signs of lethargy ect then I would de-worm with something that is considered ray safe and be safe then sorry. I have never had issues with de-worming my tanks and do so on a 6 month schedule ( but I also feed the same tank live foods, so feel this is def a neccesity for me and mine), but if your fish have never been de-wormed reguardless of if you feed live to your tank or not they are wild caught and can easily harbor IPs for monthes or years without symptoms.

Does it happen at specific times? Mine is most likely to do do after a big meal.
