My lungfish (SAL) has been refusing pellets lately. Two things changed right when this happened, and I'm not sure which, or if, one is to blame. One, I gave him a new PVC pipe hiding place as he had outgrown his old one. Two, I was doing a waterchange and walked away for literally 30 seconds to find out that he had decided to investigate the python and swam into it and got stuck (just the gravel vac. part). He's rather large and it wasn't too easy to get him out. I added the pipe the day or day before this water change. He hasn't been eating pellets since, which is very odd because he usually inhales them. I'm not sure if the python adventure was 'traumatizing' for him, or if he was injured in some way. Or maybe the new pipe is bothering him and he needs to get used to it being around? This has gone on for about a week and a half. He has been eating earthworms when I present them so I haven't been too worried, but totally rejecting his pellets is very odd for him.

Thanks.

He's finally warmed up to his new pipe and started using it. I'm going to give him a few days with it and then try feeding again.
